Reporting a positive COVID-19 case
Please notify us of a positive case by completing the online form: Reporting Positive Cases to A360. This form must be completed as soon as possible, in full. Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted by a member of staff in due course. Students who have received a positive PCR result will need to follow the ‘stay at home’ guidelines.
Students will no longer be required to self-isolate if they are contacted by NHS Test and Trace as a close contact of a positive case. Instead, students will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace, informed that they have been in close contact with a positive case and will be advised to take a PCR test. We strongly recommend that students undertake a PCR test in line with the advice given. Academy 360 are no longer required to undertake contact tracing.
Engaging with NHS Test and Trace:
Parents, children and staff are expected to engage in the NHS Test and Trace process. If advised, you will be required to book a test and provide details of anyone that your child has been in close contact with.
Anyone who displays symptoms of COVID-19 should arrange a test without delay. Students and staff will not be permitted to enter the Academy, until a negative PCR test result is received or isolation has been completed in line with government guidance.
Where a positive Lateral Flow test result has been received, a PCR test must be taken. Academy 360 will maintain contact with the symptomatic family so that we can respond appropriately to either a positive or a negative result. If the test result is negative, the child can return to school assuming they would do so under normal circumstances. If the test result is positive, the child will need to follow the ‘stay at home’ guidelines.
If a student develops COVID-19 symptoms at the Academy, the child will be isolated in a well ventilated area until they can return home. Academy 360 will contact parents in such cases and advise of next steps.
Thank you for your cooperation.
