Our Secondary Careers Team
Welcome to Secondary Careers Education at Academy 360. Preparing our students for life beyond school is at the heart of what we do. We want every young person to leave Year 11 with confidence, ambition and a clear understanding of the opportunities available to them.
Our careers programme is designed to raise aspirations and provide meaningful experiences that help students make informed decisions about their future. From employer visits and career insight days to university discovery sessions and post-16 taster events, we ensure students have access to a wide range of opportunities. These experiences are complemented by regular assemblies from employers, STEM activities that link careers to the curriculum and our new Future Friday sessions, which focus on job sectors, employability skills and post-16 options.
We also provide personalised support. Every Year 11 student receives a one-to-one careers appointment with a trained adviser from Career Wave. This includes guidance on next steps and practical help with applications to colleges, apprenticeships, or training providers. Our aim is to remove barriers and make the transition beyond school as smooth as possible.
Careers education is not just about jobs; it’s about helping students discover their strengths, develop essential skills, and understand the pathways open to them. By working closely with employers, universities, and local providers, we give our students the best possible start in adult life.
