Year 7 Pupils Enjoy Careers Insight Day at Polyfoam and Cicor

Our Year 7 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting Careers Insight Day visiting Polyfoam XPS and Cicor.
During the visit, pupils were introduced to the world of advanced manufacturing, hearing directly from staff about their roles and career journeys. At Polyfoam, they toured the site and discovered how foam insulation is made—from the very beginning right through to the finished product. They then got the opportunity to share their own ideas for how the insulation could be used in the future.
They then visited Cicor, an electronics manufacturing company, where they learnt how everyday items such as mobile phones and remote controls are produced.
Pupils were a credit to the school—listening carefully, asking thoughtful and insightful questions and showing excellent behaviour throughout the day.
