On Tuesday this week, a group of our Year 9 pupils had the opportunity to experience university life first-hand during an engaging visit to Northumbria University.

The day began with a guided tour of the campus, led by current university ambassadors, which allowed pupils to get a feel for the environment, explore key facilities and ask questions about what it’s like to study there. The ambassadors shared insights into their own experiences, helping to paint a realistic and inspiring picture of university life.

As part of the visit, pupils learned more about the different career opportunities that can stem from higher education, broadening their awareness of future options and the various pathways they might consider after leaving school.

The day concluded with a motivational workshop focused on developing resilience, an essential skill that supports both academic success and personal growth. Pupils engaged positively throughout the session, demonstrating a thoughtful and mature approach.

Our Year 9s represented Academy 360 brilliantly across the day. Their enthusiasm, respectfulness and curiosity did not go unnoticed and we are incredibly proud of the way they embraced this valuable opportunity.
