Year 10 Explore University Life at Sunderland University
Back
Our Year 10 students recently enjoyed an exciting and inspiring visit to Sunderland University's Open Day, where they had the opportunity to discover what life as a university student is really like.
Throughout the day, pupils explored the campus by taking part in a fun scavenger hunt, helping them get familiar with the university environment while learning more about the facilities on offer. They also spoke to a range of student services teams, gaining valuable insights into accommodation, student finance, student support, the Students' Union, scholarships and bursaries.
Students then had the chance to experience a wide variety of subject areas through interactive demonstration stands. From Art & Design, Midwifery, Criminology and Cosmetic Science to Journalism, Tourism & Hospitality, Sport and Computer Science, there was something to spark everyone's interest and encourage them to think about their future aspirations.
To round off the day, pupils got a taste of student life with some mini golf and picked up a few goodies along the way!
We were incredibly proud of how our students conducted themselves throughout the visit. They engaged enthusiastically with every activity, asked thoughtful questions and were excellent ambassadors for the school.
Well done, Year 10!
