Year 8 Insight Day at Nissan

Yesterday, our Year 8 pupils had a fantastic opportunity to visit Nissan and get a real insight into the world of automotive manufacturing and engineering.

Pupils enjoyed a tour of the plant, where they were able to see first-hand how a car is made, following the manufacturing process and discovering the different roles and skills involved along the way.

They then put their own engineering skills to the test with a brilliant hands-on challenge. Working in teams, pupils had to design and build their own car before competing to see which team's creation could travel the furthest!

It was a fantastic opportunity to develop teamwork, problem-solving and engineering skills while discovering more about careers within the automotive industry.

A huge well done to our Year 8 pupils for representing the school brilliantly.
