Newcastle College Visit Gives Year 10 Insight into Post-16 Opportunities

Year 10 pupils recently visited Newcastle College for the first in a series of post-16 taster days, designed to help them explore the education and training opportunities available after Year 11.

The visit gave pupils the opportunity to experience college life first-hand while gaining a better understanding of the wide range of courses and career pathways on offer. Through practical, hands-on sessions in Hospitality, Hair & Beauty, Construction and Sport & Exercise Science, pupils were able to explore different subject areas and discover where their interests and strengths may lead.

As part of the visit, pupils also toured the campus, learning more about the facilities, learning environment and support available to students studying at Newcastle College.

These taster days form an important part of Academy 360's careers and post-16 education programme, helping pupils to broaden their understanding of the pathways available to them and supporting them as they begin to consider their next steps beyond Year 11.
