Year 9 Pupils Attend University of Sunderland for Discovery Day
Back
Our Year 9 pupils recently enjoyed an inspiring Discovery Day at the University of Sunderland.
Throughout the day, they explored what university life is really like, starting with the Game of Student Life workshop, where they learnt about studying, societies, student finance, and balancing part-time jobs. They also took part in a hands-on patient assessment workshop, gaining insight into healthcare careers and simulating real-life professional roles.
The experience was rounded off with a campus tour, giving pupils the chance to see the excellent facilities on offer.
This visit forms part of our whole-school careers programme, helping pupils understand the wide range of higher education opportunities available to them. We’re incredibly proud of how well they represented the school—showing fantastic enthusiasm, engagement, and behaviour throughout the day!
