University of Sunderland Occupational Therapy Students Lead Workshop with 10X2
Back
Just before the half-term break, we were pleased to welcome University of Sunderland Occupational Therapy students Charlotte, Eve, Amanda and Lauren into school to deliver an interactive workshop with our 10X2 pupils.
The session offered pupils an insight into what it's like to study Occupational Therapy at university, as well as what the profession involves as a career. Pupils explored what Occupational Therapy is, who it aims to help and gained a clearer understanding of the different pathways that can lead to becoming a qualified Occupational Therapist.
As part of the workshop, pupils also had the opportunity to test out a range of equipment used by Occupational Therapists in their day-to-day roles. This hands-on element allowed pupils to engage with the practical side of the profession and further their understanding of how occupational therapists support people in everyday life.
We would like to thank Charlotte, Eve, Amanda and Lauren for visiting and delivering such an informative session.
