Year 7 Students Explore Technology and Innovation at BT Group
Back
Year 7 students from Academy 360 enjoyed a full day of learning and discovery during a visit to BT Group's head office in Gosforth. The trip gave students a hands-on insight into the world of technology, digital skills and innovation.
The day began in the assembly hall, where students met with staff and registers were taken before boarding the coach to BT Group. On arrival, students were welcomed at the main reception and introduced to BT staff who guided them through the day.
Students took part in a digital skills workshop, titled BT Group Work Ready, where they explored essential skills for the modern workplace. They also met BT Group ambassadors, who shared their experiences and offered an insight into career opportunities in technology.
The highlight of the visit was an innovation challenge, where students worked in teams to create their own brand-new digital devices, encouraging creativity, collaboration and problem-solving. The day included interactive activities as well as time for lunch, ensuring a balanced and engaging experience.
After completing the workshops, students gathered at the venue entrance for the return journey.
The visit formed part of Academy 360's ongoing commitment to providing students with real-world experiences that inspire learning and broaden career horizons.
