We are thrilled that you are considering Academy 360. We are very proud of our high parent satisfaction rates and are committed to working hard to maintain them.
Choosing a school for your child is exciting, but it can seem a little daunting too. We hope that you find everything you need on our website regarding our admissions policy and process. If not, please get in touch so that we can help to answer your questions.
We would love to welcome you to see our academy. Please contact us if you would like to arrange a visit to see for yourselves what makes Academy 360 such a wonderful place for your child to learn. Please also look out for our open events throughout the year.
All schools publish the guidelines that they follow when offering places to children. Our Admissions Policy explains how decisions about admissions will be made fairly. Admissions to the academy are based on the Published Admission Number (PAN).
PAN is the maximum number of pupils that can be admitted into each year group at the academy. This number is reviewed and agreed with Sunderland City Councils admission authority. From September 2022 our PAN number for admission into Year 7 and above will be 120.
Your child is entitled to a full-time school place from the September following their fourth birthday, and you can apply for them to join the academy in Reception. If your child is already in primary education, you can apply for them to join their year group within Academy 360.
Places in Reception classes up to (and including) Year 6 have to be applied for online using the common application form (available from the Local Authority). This can be accessed here. Alternatively, please contact [link to contact page] the school directly and we will be able to help you further.
Children who are already in our primary phase (Year 6) at Academy 360 automatically move into Year 7 in our secondary phase. Pupils from other schools can also apply to join Academy 360.
If you are applying for your child to join Academy 360 for their secondary (age 11-16) education, applications are made using the common application form (available from the Local Authority). This can be accessed here. Alternatively, please contact the school directly and we will be able to help you further.
We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you and your child.
